Check NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will declare the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 result on March 19. IIT Roorkee has also announced the GATE 2025 scorecard date. The GATE 2025 scorecard will be available for download from March 28 to May 31.

Candidates will be able to download the GATE 2025 scorecard by visiting the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Candidates will be required to enter their enrollment ID and password to download the GATE 2025 scorecard. Candidates will also be able to download the GATE 2025 scorecard till December 31, by paying a fee of Rs 500 per paper.
The GATE 2025 exam was conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16. The GATE 2025 exam was held in two sessions - from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The GATE 2025 answer key and response sheet was out on February 27.

GATE 2025 scorecard validity varies based on its purpose:
For MTech Admissions: The GATE 2025 scorecard will be valid for three years from the date of the result announcement. The GATE 2025 scorecard can be used for MTech, ME, or other postgraduate admissions.
Candidates can use the GATE 2025 rank predictor to estimate ranks and predict MTEch admission chances at IITs. Candidates are required to enter their stream, application number, date of birth, date, and probable marks out of 100 to use the GATE rank predictor 2025 tool.
For PSU Recruitment: The GATE 2025 scorecard validity depends on the specific PSU (Public Sector Undertaking). Most PSUs accept only the current year's GATE score, while other may consider scores from the previous year. Various PSU's such as GAIL (India) Limited, GRID-INDIA, and the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) will recruit candidates based on specific GATE 2025 scores .

GATE 2025 Scorecard: Steps to calculate scores
Candidates can estimate their GATE 2025 scores using the official response sheet and answer key by following these steps:
- Download GATE 2025 answer key and response sheet
- Cross-check your answers with the GATE 2025 answer key to determine the number of correct and incorrect responses.
- Apply the GATE 2025 marking scheme
For Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs):
1-mark MCQs: +1 for correct, -1/3 for incorrect
2-mark MCQs: +2 for correct, -2/3 for incorrect
For Multiple Select Questions (MSQs):
+1 or +2 for correct answers, no negative marking
For Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions:
+1 or +2 for correct answers, no negative marking
- Calculate GATE 2025 raw score
GATE 2025 score = (Total marks from correct answers) − (Total marks deducted for incorrect answers)
Final GATE score will be calculated out of 1000 using the official GATE score calculation formula, considering normalization (if applicable).
