The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati will publish the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2026) admit card for MTech admissions at gate2026.iitg.ac.in on January 2. Candidates will be able to download the GATE admit card 2026 using their enrollment number and password.

IIT Guwahati will hold GATE 2026 exams on February 7, 8, 14 and 15 in two shifts; forenoon shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and the afternoon shift will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Candidates have to carry the GATE exam admit card and a valid photo ID on the exam day for verification purposes. GATE admit card 2026 will include details such as the candidate’s name, enrollment ID, exam centre, exam date and time, paper code, category and other details.
The steps to download the GATE admit card 2026 are as follows.
IIT Guwahati has also introduced a new sectional paper on Energy Science (XE-1) in the engineering science (XE) paper. The GATE question paper for the aptitude test will include 30 papers with full and sectional papers.
GATE 2026 exam is held for admission to MTech, MS, and PhD programmes at IITs, National Institute of Technology (NITs), and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT). GATE 2026 scores will remain valid for a period of 3 years from the date of result declaration. GATE scores are also used for recruitment to Pubic Section Undertakings (PSUs).

Candidates can download the GATE 2026 admit card from the GOAPS portal using their Enrollment ID and Password, or the registered mobile number for OTP verification. On the day of the exam, a printed admit card along with an original, valid photo ID—such as Aadhaar, Passport, PAN, Voter ID, or Driving License—with a clear photograph matching the admit card should be carried.
