Great Lakes Institute hosts 2nd international conference on business for sustainable future
GLIM, Gurgaon has begun its two-day conference with the theme 'Managing Businesses for a Sustainable Future: G-20 and Beyond.

NEW DELHI: Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM) Gurgaon will be hosting its second International Winter Business School Conference at its Gurgaon campus on December 20 and 21, 2023. The theme of the conference is “Managing Businesses for a Sustainable Future: G-20 and Beyond”.
The conference will provide an opportunity for national and international experts, business professionals, and Indian government representatives to discuss innovative ideas and applications of "sustainability" in several fields of management practice, the institute said.
Leading British scholar Richard SJ Tol of the University of Sussex will give a speech as part of the pre-conference activities today. Energy Economics' Editor-in-Chief will then conduct a panel discussion featuring members from the energy sector discussing their various sustainability projects. Senior representatives from Boston Consulting Group, Schneider Electric, Wells Fargo, and Balmer Lawrie will also be participating in the conference.

A group of policymakers and think tanks will discuss the G-20 countries' performance on a few Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on December 21. Senior representatives from the UN ESCAP, World Bank, WWF, and CUTS will also be on the panel.
Samyukta Samadar, IAS, Commissioner, National Capital Region, and GOI Nodal for SDG, will formally open the conference. Brandon Randolph-Seng, a management professor at Texas University A&M-Commerce, will provide the keynote speech.
Researchers and academics from throughout the nation will present papers at the conference on a variety of sustainability-related topics related to management functions, including finance, marketing, operations, and human resource management.
