Speaking after the signing ceremony, HNLU vice chancellor Vivekanandan said the agreement would encourage collaboration between the two universities in interdisciplinary fields while also deepening academic ties between India and Taiwan.
National Chi Nan University president Dong-sing Wuu welcomed the partnership and said he was pleased to collaborate with an Indian National Law University. Coming from an engineering background, he expressed hope that the association would create more opportunities for cooperation in areas where law and technology intersect.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will work together on research projects, academic exchange programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops. The partnership will also promote faculty and student mobility, cross-border academic engagement, and interdisciplinary as well as comparative research initiatives.
HNLU said the partnership reflects its growing focus on international engagement and research collaborations with global institutions. Established in 2003, the university is located in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and has a 65-acre campus.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in law and interdisciplinary studies. Admissions to its BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes are conducted through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
The campus includes moot court halls, a central library with access to legal research databases, residential hostels and sports facilities. The university also highlighted its placement record, with graduates securing positions in law firms, corporations, consultancies and litigation chambers.
