HNLU signs agreement with Taiwan’s NCNU to expand research, academic exchange programmes

Hidayatullah National Law University and Taiwan’s NCNU will collaborate on research, student exchanges and interdisciplinary academic initiatives
Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur, has signed an agreement with Taiwan’s National Chi Nan University (NCNU) to strengthen academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. The agreement was signed on May 6 at the NCNU campus in Taiwan.
The partnership is aimed at encouraging joint research, academic exchanges, faculty and student mobility programmes, and interdisciplinary collaboration between the two universities. The agreement was signed during the 6th HNLU conference hosted by NCNU.
The collaboration is being seen as part of HNLU’s broader push to strengthen its international presence and develop long-term academic partnerships focused on emerging research and educational priorities.

HNLU to focus on interdisciplinary research
Speaking after the signing ceremony, HNLU vice chancellor Vivekanandan said the agreement would encourage collaboration between the two universities in interdisciplinary fields while also deepening academic ties between India and Taiwan.
National Chi Nan University president Dong-sing Wuu welcomed the partnership and said he was pleased to collaborate with an Indian National Law University. Coming from an engineering background, he expressed hope that the association would create more opportunities for cooperation in areas where law and technology intersect.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will work together on research projects, academic exchange programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops. The partnership will also promote faculty and student mobility, cross-border academic engagement, and interdisciplinary as well as comparative research initiatives.
About HNLU
HNLU said the partnership reflects its growing focus on international engagement and research collaborations with global institutions. Established in 2003, the university is located in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh, and has a 65-acre campus.
The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in law and interdisciplinary studies. Admissions to its BA LLB (Hons.) and LLM programmes are conducted through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).
The campus includes moot court halls, a central library with access to legal research databases, residential hostels and sports facilities. The university also highlighted its placement record, with graduates securing positions in law firms, corporations, consultancies and litigation chambers.
