HIMACHAL PRADESH: The Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has postponed the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) 2025, scheduled to be held on May 10 and 11, citing the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan as the reason for the decision.

As per the official notice issued, the university stated that the exam has been postponed till further order due to unforeseen circumstances. The revised dates for the entrance examination (HPCET-2025) will be announced shortly.

The postponement affects entrance exams for the following undergraduate and postgraduate programmes:
• B Tech (Direct Entry)
• B Pharmacy (Direct Entry)
• BSc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration)
• BHMCT
• MBA
• MBA (Tourism and Hospitality Management)
• MCA
• MSc Physics
• MSc Environmental Sciences
