IBPS recruitment drive aims to fill 6,715 probationary officer and 745 specialist officer vacancies.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended the registration deadline for the Probationary Officer (PO)/Management Trainee (MT) XVI and Specialist Officer (SO) XVI recruitment drives. Eligible candidates can now submit their online applications until July 26, 2026, through the official IBPS website.

The extension gives candidates an additional time to complete the application process. Banking aspirants must review the eligibility criteria carefully and submit their applications before the revised deadline.
IBPS recruitment drive aims to fill 7,460 vacancies, including 6,715 posts for PO and 745 posts for SO across participating public sector banks.
Eligible candidates can follow these steps to complete the application process.

Click on the CRP PO/MT-XVI or CRP SPL-XVI recruitment link
Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
Fill in the application form with the required personal, educational, and communication details
Upload the necessary documents, including a photograph and signature
Pay the application fee online
Submit the application form and download the confirmation page for future reference
The IBPS PO, SO recruitment process includes a preliminary examination, followed by the main examination. Candidates applying for the PO/MT posts will also have to appear for a personality test and interview, while SO candidates will be shortlisted through the prescribed selection stages before provisional allotment.
The preliminary examinations are scheduled to be held in August 2026, with the subsequent stages taking place later this year.
