NEW DELHI: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has issued a CA Nov 2020 exam notice for the students who want to opt-out from the ongoing ICAI CA exam 2020.
Candidates who were appearing for the CA Nov 2020 exam, but chose to opt-out as they turned COVID positive during examination days should submit their positive report along with their admit card (Both sides) to the email id- appearance2020@icai.in.
ICAI has given this option as some students did not choose the Opt-out scheme before the examination. Later, they were forced to skip the CA Nov exam 2020 as they tested positive with the virus.
As per an earlier announcement dated November 7, 2020, candidates were allowed to choose the OPT-Out option owing to reasons related to Covid-19 without submitting any related documents.
This decision has been taken in the interest of the fellow students and to further sensitize the CA Exam centres 2020 as per precautionary measures.
Many students had availed the Opt-out scheme given by the institute owing to the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the world.
The OPT-OUT scheme was available to students who fulfilled any of the following conditions:
-
If the student is Covid positive or has all symptoms of Covid 19 anytime until the conclusion of exams.
-
If the family members with whom the student is staying turn Covid positive anytime until the conclusion of exams
-
If the area where the student is staying has been declared as a containment zone by Central government, state government or local governing bodies anytime until the conclusion of exams.
