Background wave

The CA Final May exam 2024 will be held from May 2, 4, 6 for group 1; May 8, 10, 12 for group 2. CA Inter exams May 2024 for group 1 and 2 will be held from May 3 to 13. The exam dates were revised to avoid coinciding with the general elections; which was not received well by the aspirants. Although students protested for postponement, the exam was held on the scheduled date.

In each of the papers, the objective-type questions will have a weightage of 30% and the remaining questions, that is 70% of the paper, will be as per the present pattern of assessment, the institute said.

Each multiple-choice question carries 1 or 2 marks and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. After the CA result declaration, a statement of marks will be sent by post to the candidates. “However, in case you do not receive the same, for any reason, within 4-5 weeks from the date of declaration of results, you may write to exam.dmsinter@icai.in. Please refer to FAQs on the subject hosted on www.icai.org for more details,” it said.

As per the passing criteria, a candidate should have passed in both the groups simultaneously. Candidates securing a minimum of 40% in each paper at one sitting, and minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate of all the papers of each of the groups will be declared pass.
