ICSE Board Exam 2023 begins today; key points to keep in mind

The examination will be conducted from 11am to 1pm for a duration of two hours. Students will be provided 15 minutes extra to read the question paper.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, or ICSE Class 10 board exams 2023 will begin today, February 27, with English Language - paper 1. The examination will be conducted between 11 am and 1 pm for a duration of two hours. Students will be provided additional 15 minutes for reading the question paper.

According to CISCE board exam day guidelines, students will have to appear in board exams wearing school uniforms along with ICSE admit card and school identity card. The students are required to be seated in the examination hall five minutes prior to the commencement of the exam. Candidates are allowed to carry permissible stationary items only inside the examination hall/ room.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall if they get late more than half an hour after the commencement of exam. However, the candidates who arrive late will be required to give satisfactory explanations and reasons to the examiner. The board will conduct the examination following the COVID-19 guidelines.

CISCE Class 10 Exam 2023: Important guidelines

  • Clearly write down the unique identification number (UID), index number and subject on the top sheet of the answer booklet with black/blue ballpoint pen or fountain pen.
  • Candidates should thoroughly read the ICSE 10th question paper before attempting it.
  • Students should avoid indulging in unfair practices. If a Student is detected in giving or obtaining such practices will be expelled from the examination hall/room and will not be allowed to appear in subsequent examination papers.
  • Items such as any book, memorandum or pocketbook, notes, paper, calculator, mobile phones or wireless devices, etc, are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry any weapon, object or instrument which may be used as a weapon during the examination.
  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall/ room before the conclusion of the paper.
