IGNOU 2020 registration deadline extended to October 15; apply @ignou.ac.in

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has further extended the last date for IGNOU 2020 registration for July 2020 cycle. Candidates, aspiring to apply for IGNOU admissions (who have not filled the IGNOU application form 2020 yet), can register for IGNOU admissions 2020 till October 15 at ignou.ac.in. Earlier, the IGNOU registration or IGNOU admission last date 2020 for July cycle was September 30 . However, now the authorities have decided to give another 15 days to register for IGNOU admission 2020.

In order to register for IGNOU admission 2020, candidates have to visit ignou.ac.in or ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in and click on the blue colour tab named "Click here for new registration". Further, they have to enter details like name, user name, email ID, password and mobile number to initiate the process. Already registered candidates have to just use their user name and password.

The varsity has also announced that the examination for 10 online programmes offered by IGNOU will be held in January/February 2021. However, the exact dates for the exams will be announced later.

Due to COVID-19 and nationwide lockdown this year, many events and schedules associated with IGNOU 2020 admission have been either rescheduled, postponed or extended, including the registration window whose deadlines have been extended multiple times so far.

Earlier, the varsity had come out with the IGNOU date sheet on September 2 for June term end exams (TEE). According to the date sheet of IGNOU, the June TEE have commenced from September 17 and will continue till October 16 . The TEEs are being held across 900 examination centres. The IGNOU June TEE 2020 is being held in two different sessions, morning session (10 am to 1 pm) and evening session (2 pm to 5 pm).

IGNOU offers admission to 277 programmes including Masters, Bachelors, Diploma and Certificates. As per the official data, around 3 million students are said to be enrolled at IGNOU in various courses.
