IGNOU January Admission 2026: Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 300 to register for the ODL and online programmes.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date for re-registration for the January 2026 session. Candidates seeking admission to programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes can now submit their IGNOU January 2026 re-registration forms till January 31, 2026.
Eligible candidates can register for the IGNOU January 2026 session through the official website, onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. Candidates are required to pay a re-registration fee of Rs 300 to apply for the ODL and online programmes.
The registration portal is open for Indian and international students. Earlier, the IGNOU January 2026 registration deadline was January 15, 2026.
Candidates are required to upload a scanned photograph, scanned signature, scanned copies of educational qualification certificates, experience certificate, and category certificate (for SC, ST, or OBC candidates) while registering for the IGNOU January 2026 ODL programme.
“If you have already registered, you can log in using your username and password. If you face any problems, such as not receiving an OTP or forgetting your login details, contact your Regional Centre for help with resetting your account or updating your email ID or mobile number,” the official website reads.
IGNOU Re-registration 2026: How to apply?
The instructions for completing the IGNOU re-registration for January 2026 are given below.
- Go to the official website, onlinerr.ignou.ac.in
- Click on the ‘Re-registration’ link.
- Enter your IGNOU user ID, password, and security pin.
- Click on the ‘Login’ link.
- Fill the application and choose your course.
- Pay the re-registration fees in online mode.
- Submit the filled IGNOU application form and take a printout of it for your future reference.
