NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has commenced the registration process for a bachelor in Journalism and Digital Media, a new Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP). Interested and eligible candidates can fill the IGNOU BA Journalism application form by visiting the official website, ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.
The School of Journalism and New Media Studies at IGNOU provides this course in English medium at various major regions and centers. The deadline to apply for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) program is June 30. This BA Journalism FYUP Programme, introduced in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offers students the option to select between a three-year honors program and a four-year honors program, with or without a research element.

The IGNOU BA Journalism and Digital Media programme focuses on digital journalism, news reporting and editing, digital photography, AV production, podcasting, internet research, data journalism, and news portal design.
The program comprises 160 credits in total, with each semester contributing 20 credits. Spread over 8 semesters, students have up to eight years to finish the Bachelor in Journalism and Digital Media program. According to the official website, the annual course fee is Rs. 10,600, with development fees being applicable.
