IGNOU admit card 2025 for BEd, Post Basic BSc exam out at ignou.ac.in; eligibility, selection criteria

NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has issued the admit cards for the IGNOU Bachelor of Education (BEd) and Post Basic Bachelor of Science (BSc) Nursing programmes, today, March 12. Registered candidates can download the admit cards through the official website at ignou.ac.in.

The university will conduct the IGNOU entrance exams for BEd and Post Basic BSc nursing courses on March 16 at various exam centres.

The open university has also announced the date sheet for the June 2025 Term End Examination (TEE), for which the exam will begin from June 2 and will conclude on July 11. The TEE exam will be conducted in dual shifts. The forenoon session will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm while the afternoon session will be from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

How to download IGNOU BEd and Post Basic BSc Nursing exam hall tickets?

Candidates can follow the steps given below to download the admit cards.

  • Go to the official website at ignou.ac.in.
  • Search for the links “The online link for downloading the Hall Ticket for BSCN(PB) AND BEd Entrance Test on 16th March 2025 is as follows” and click on it.
  • You will be redirected to a new page.
  • Type login credentials such as registered username and password.
  • Press the login icon.
  • Download the admit cards and take print outs for the exam day.

IGNOU BEd, Post Basic BSc Nursing: Eligibility, selection criteria

Candidates with 50% marks in graduate or post graduate degree are eligible to appear for the entrance test. Applicants must have completed the NCTE recognised courses in face-to-face mode to be eligible for admission to the BEd programme, as per the official notice. Also, the score obtained in the entrance test conducted by IGNOU all over India, the official notification reads.

“The number of seats of each PSC is limited to 50 only. The university reserves the right to conduct the examination at different centers/change the examination centre of the candidates without assigning any reason thereof,” as per the notification on the university brochure.

“Mere allowing candidates to take the Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of their eligibility for admission to B.Ed. The final admission to the programme shall be subject to their rank in the merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility at the time of last date of submission of application for admission to B.Ed. programme along with original certificates and programme fee,” the notification further reads.

To be eligible to apply for the Post Basic BSc Nursing course, the registered nurses and registered midwives (RNRM), having passed 10+2 with three years of diploma in general nursing and midwifery (GNM), and a minimum of two years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession are eligible to apply. “For male nurses who have not done midwifery in the GNM programme, should have a certificate in any of the Nursing courses of 6-9 months duration prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of midwifery,” as per the notice on the official website.

Alternatively, in-service Nurses (RNRM) with 10th class or its equivalent with three years Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) with a minimum of five years of experience (after registration as RNRM) in the profession are also eligible to apply for the nursing course.

Candidates must have the knowledge that those who have Class 12 degree with GNM will not be able to apply if experience after RNRM is less than two years. Furthermore, “candidates with Class 10 and GNM must not apply if having less than 5 years experience after RNRM,” it reads.
