IGNOU July 2026 Admission: University extends deadline for online, ODL courses till September 30

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has once again extended the deadline to apply for the July 2026 admission. The deadline, which was supposed to end on September 15, will now end on September 30. Interested candidates who have not yet applied for IGNOU July 2026 admission cycle by paying a late fee of Rs 200. For ODL courses, candidates can get themselves registered on ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. For online mode courses, candidates should submit an application on ignouiop.samarth.edu.in.

IGNOU's latest post on platform X reads, "The last date of submission of the online re-registration form for July, 2026 session extended till 30th September, 2026 with the late fee of Rs. 200/- for all programmes offered in ODL and Online mode."

IGNOU has advised candidates to keep their APAAR ID ready before filling out the admission form. The email and mobile number will be verified through OTP at the time of registration.

Here's how to register for IGNOU July admission

  • Go go the official website at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in
  • On homepage, click on “Click Here for New Registration" link
  • Fill in form and click on ‘register’ to generate user ID and password
  • Log in, choose the course and the study material mode
  • Upload required documents in the prescribed format and size and pay application fee
  • Click on submit and download the confirmation page
  • Take its printouts for future references

Candidates must note that an amount equivalent to 15% of the course fee, subject to a ceiling of Rs 2,000, will be deducted from the fee paid in case a candidate's request for cancellation is received after admission confirmation. In cases where candidates have opted for a soft copy of the study material, fees will be refunded only after deducting the registration fee.
