IGNOU launches AICTE-approved MBA programmes; Last date for admission September 30

IGNOU in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Banking Finance (IIBF) is offering MBA in Banking and Finance (MBF). Check eligibility criteria for the MBA programmes here.
NEW DELHI: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched an AICTE-approved Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme. The university said that the programme aims to provide inclusive quality education and that it is completely restructured based on the industry-academia needs.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with 50 marks for the general category and 45% marks for the reserved category and without any entrance test.

The duration of the MBA programme is 2 years and can go up to a maximum of four years. It offers five different specializations - human resource management, financial management, marketing management, operations management and services management.
"Students have to complete 28 courses spanning four semesters and have 116 credits. The MBA programme will be offered across India and also in selected foreign countries," the university said in an official notice.
For the July 2021 academic session, the last date for admission to the MBA programmes is September 30. Candidates can apply on the official website by logging in to the IGNOU student portal - ignou.samarth.edu.in.

Similarly, the School of Management Studies SOMS, IGNOU in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Banking Finance (IIBF) is offering MBA in Banking and Finance (MBF). The eligibility criteria for admission to this programme is:
- Candidates should have passed bachelor degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category)
- Applicant should have passed the CAIIB examinations of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, Mumbai, and awarded the requisite qualification/credentials therefore by the Institute; and
- They should have been working with the banking or financial services sector for a period of at least two years.
- The MBA in Banking and Finance will be of a duration of minimum 2 years and maximum 4 years.
The department also offers Post Graduate Diploma Programmes. Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, and Operations Management are offered and the last date for admission is September 23, 2021.
