NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu will engage in academic and research exchange with Estonian Business School, a statement from IIM Jammu said. IIM Jammu director BS Sahay and Estonian Business School Rector Meelis Kitsing signed the agreement on Friday.
“MoU with the Estonian Business School is a positive step towards absorbing the best practices in researching and teaching from the best B-schools in the world. The collaborations are a vital part of the IIM Jammu’s international endeavours and will be helpful in fostering the advancement in teaching, research and cultural understanding as well as the international reputation of both the institutes through student and faculty exchange, technology transfer and research programmes,” said Sahay.

The statement from IIM Jammu said that the agreement will facilitate student exchange, faculty exchange, joint management development programmes, executive education programmes, joint conferences and joint research programmes.
Kitsing gave an overview of the Estonian Business School and said that the collaboration between the institutes will help both in developing competence in many key areas, ranging from development of educational and training programmes, long-range planning and institutional development.
IIM Jammu professor Jabir Ali gave an overview of the institute and stated that both the institutes have agreed to work in areas of student exchange, faculty exchange, joint management development programmes and executive education programmes.

NEW DELHI, OCTOBER 5: Prof. BS Sahay has been appointed as the Director of Indian Institute of Management, Jammu. The mentee institute of IIM Lucknow, IIM Jammu is the 20th IIM, established in the year 2016. Prof. Ajit Prasad, IIM Lucknow Director was the first mentor director of IIM Jammu. Prof. Sahay assumed his office on October 4, 2018, in presence of Deepak Kumar Mukadam, Member, Board of Governors, IIM Jammu and Director, Jaybee Steel Treators Ltd., faculty members and Chief Administrative Officer.
