IIM Kozhikode makes debut in QS World University Rankings 2025; achieves 151+ rank globally
PGP-BL and PGP Finance have been ranked for the first time in QS Rankings 2025 under IIMK’s PGP flagship.

NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) proudly announces its debut in QS World University Rankings 2024 for Post Graduate Programme in Business Leadership (PGP-BL) and Post Graduate Programme in Finance (PGP-Finance), and achieved an impressive ranking in the 151-200 band, on September 26. The achievement highlights IIMK’s commitment to excellence in management education and its growing influence on both national and global stages, the IIM Kozhikode statement said.
IIMK’s PGP-BL one-year MBA offering was started in 2019, whereas PGP-Finance's first batch was inducted in 2020.
IIM Kozhikode's achievements in the QS rankings are complemented by its robust global outreach, which includes partnerships with over 70 international universities. The global perspective IIMK follows enriches students' learning experience and also provides them exposure to international markets and their practices, the IIM Kozhikode statement added.
“IIM Kozhikode’s PGP programmes have maintained their global position in the master’s in management rankings at 151+ rank, reflecting the institute’s sustained commitment to high-quality management education and its influence within the academic community.”
Evaluated among 206 programs from 38 countries, IIMK is ranked 73rd in thought leadership with a score of 50.6, 101-110 in employability (global average score: 50.1), and 151+ in alumni outcomes (global average score: 49.9), diversity (global average score: 64.8), and value for money (global average score: 69.3), IIM Kozhikode statement adds.
IIM Kozhikode: QS Global MBA Category 2025 rankings
As per the IIM Kozhikode’s official statement, the QS Global MBA Category 2025 rankings, IIMK’s PGP-BL programme excelled with 59,068 employer nominations, reflecting significant industry trust.
“The PGP-BL programme was ranked 131-140 in employability and showcased a strong performance in return on investment and leadership. The programme also highlighted its competitive edge in a landscape of 340 global institutions from across 58 countries.”
On the other hand, the PGP-Finance program marked its debut with a ranking of 151-200 in QS Masters in Finance 2025 category, supported by impressive employer and academic nominations. The programme achieved notable rankings in employability, thought leadership, and diversity, indicating areas for continued growth and development, the IIMK note adds.
Professor Debashis Chatterjee, director of IIM Kozhikode announced the breakthrough and said: “The fact that it took these two new programmes just under 5 years to break into the QS rankings is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, and alumni.
