IIM Mumbai celebrates International Yoga Day 2025 on campus

Yoga day 2025 celebration at IIM Mumbai: An interactive yoga session was conducted by Kaivalyadhama, and attended by faculty members, students, officers, and staff.
Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on its campus on Saturday. The nationwide drive was led by the ministry of education and the ministry of AYUSH. This year’s theme at the IIM Mumbai campus event was - ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’.
The event began at 6 am in the morning, in the basement of Swami Vivekananda Hall on campus, starting with a live screening of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation. That was followed by a yoga training session by instructors from Kaivalyadhama. The faculty members, students, officers, and staff at IIM Mumbai took part in the yoga session.
“The International Day of Yoga is a powerful reminder of India’s contribution to global well-being. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health,’ resonates deeply with IIM Mumbai’s commitment to holistic education, environmental awareness, and personal wellness,” said Manoj Kumar Tiwari, director of IIM Mumbai .
“We are proud to see such active participation from our community, demonstrating that yoga is not only a physical discipline but also a unifying force for sustainable living and inner harmony,” he added.

Some of the notable figures present during the event included Tiwari, Rauf Iqbal, dean of student affairs, Nisha Singh, chief administrative officer (CAO), and Nikhil Mehta, chairperson of IDY committee 2025, among others.
According to an official statement, IIM Mumbai is ranked 6th in India's 2024 NIRF Rankings. It offers programmes in operations, supply chain, sustainability, and general management. Its international partnerships and industry connections make it a leading institute in management education, as per the statement.
