IIM Mumbai launches 4-year bachelor’s programme in digital science, business management

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has launched a four-year bachelor’s programme in Digital Science and Business Management. The programme is designed to equip students with a strong blend of technological and managerial capabilities, integrating emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data science, internet of things (IoT), and robotics with core management disciplines.

The programme, developed in collaboration with key knowledge partners, including C4i4 and other industry bodies, involves extensive practical learning. According to the institute, this curriculum aims to create well-rounded professionals capable of leading in digitally driven business environments.

Also, IIM Mumbai is working with Accenture to embed internship-led industry exposure so that students can directly engage in real-world digital business challenges.

Additionally, the institute is in discussions with IMT France about exploring international collaborations and providing students with opportunities for global educational engagement.

The programme is designed in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP), with flexible entry and exit options to ensure broad access.

IIM Mumbai digital science course: Admission

To support this flagship undergraduate programme, IIM Mumbai has received approval from the Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation and Minister of State for Cooperation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol, to set up a small satellite complex in Pune.

The Pune Municipal Corporation will provide an existing building, which will be renovated to operational standards, so that the institution can carry out educational activities related to the new undergraduate programme.

Through this programme, IIM Mumbai is positioning itself at the forefront of undergraduate innovation in India, aiming to equip students with the advanced skills, mindset, and global exposure needed to thrive in a digital-first economy.
