IIM Sambalpur invites applications for MBA for working professionals

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur is inviting applications for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme for the 2024-26 academic session. The programme will be conducted on weekends at the IIM Sambalpur, Delhi campus. Interested candidates should fill out the application form by April 15 at iimsambalpur.ac.in
As per the institute, the two-year degree programme has been designed with the aim of cultivating entrepreneurial skills, innovation, and providing strategies among working professionals, strategic leaders, and entrepreneurs to drive organizational growth. The programme is offered in a blended mode, with the option of obtaining a dual degree from international universities.
The institute said that the IIM Sambalpur MBA programme admission process involves several steps. Initially, candidates will be shortlisted based on their eligibility criteria for the personal interview (PI) round. Additionally, they are required to submit a "No Objection Certificate" or "Consent letter" from their employer.
For industry-sponsored applicants, a sponsorship letter from their respective companies is necessary. Furthermore, applicants should submit a statement of purpose (SOP) detailing their career path and goals and the purpose of joining the MBA programme, with a word limit of 2,000. Finally, the selection panel will evaluate the suitability of the applicants based on their managerial and entrepreneurial acumen. The admission process and interview round will begin from April 22 to 30.

IIM Sambalpur Admission: Eligibility criteria
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, they should have a minimum of three years of full-time managerial or professional experience after obtaining a bachelor's degree by the deadline for application submission. The programme is open to candidates of all nationalities.
Speaking about the programme, the director of IIM Sambalpur, Mahadeo Jaiswal, said: “MBA for Working Professionals is a comprehensive programme for the working professionals who aspire to lead, transform and excel in an increasingly complex and competitive global scenario. Participants have options to specialize in data science, product management, entrepreneurship, sustainability, risk management and other functional domains, including certifications from NSE Academy in Global Enterprise Risk Management (RIMS-CRMP).”
