IIM Sambalpur launches MBA in business analytics. Candidates with high CAT percentile, STEM background, 1-year experience can apply.
NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Sambalpur has introduced a full-time MBA programme in business analytics at its Delhi Campus, with an option of dual degree. For the course, the institute joined hands with Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, which boasts a high-ranked MBA in this very field. The Delhi campus will admit 70 students in the very first batch.
Candidates having a CAT percentile and an academic background in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with a one-year relevant experience can apply for the IIM Sambalpur MBA admissions .
Explaining about the speciality of the course, the IIM said that it offers a management education with cutting-edge analytical and technological competencies, aimed to prepare professionals who can address complex challenges in business analytics to lead the AI data-driven world.
The dual-degree programme follows the STEM education framework wherein all the four disciplines are taught in conjunction with management principles, making it a unique course in Indian B-schools. It will turn out to be a good choice for professionals who can apply advanced analytics, big data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in business contexts.
IIM Sambalpur: Dual degree, Thailand work-visa
Under the MBA programme, students will spend the first year of study at the institute’s Delhi campus with an option to go to AIT Thailand in the second year.
Upon successful completion, will be awarded a dual degree with specialization in business analytics along with a one-year extended work-visa in Thailand through which they can start an international career.

IIM Sambalpur is already offering two dual degrees – MBA in Fintech Management in collaboration with Sorbonne Business School (Paris) and an executive PhD and DBA programme in partnership with Bordeaux University School of Management.
