Candidates are required to upload documents, pay the acceptance fee and submit their willingness by tomorrow to confirm their admission.
The IISER seat acceptance fee for 2024 varies by category: General, Economically Weaker Sections, Other Backward Classes, Kashmiri Pandits, Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants), and Persons with Disabilities are required to pay Rs 35,000. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the fee is Rs 17,500.
Candidates will have the following options to choose after being allotted a seat in IISER 2024 counselling.
Freeze option: When a candidate chooses the "freeze" option, it means they are satisfied with the seat allotted to them in the current round of counselling. They do not wish to participate in further rounds or consider any other seat options. Candidates lock their seat choice and confirm their acceptance.
Float option: Opting for "float" allows candidates to accept the currently allotted seat but also indicates their willingness to be considered for higher-preference choices in subsequent rounds of counselling. If a better seat becomes available in further rounds, they may opt for it.
Slide option: The "slide" option enables candidates to accept the currently allotted seat but also allows them to slide to a seat of higher preference within the same institution during subsequent rounds, if such a choice becomes available.
