Check NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released GATE exam day guidelines to be followed by candidates in the exam centre premises. GATE IIT Bombay 2021 is going to commence from tomorrow onward. However, February 5 is dedicated for some miscellaneous activities and IIT-Bombay GATE 2021 will be held on February 6, 7, 13 and 14. As the IIT Bombay GATE 2021 is being conducted in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, candidates also have to follow certain COVID-19 guidelines in the campus.
GATE 2021: Exam day guidelines

Candidates have to reach the GATE exam centre 2021 at least an hour (60 minutes) before the scheduled time of the exam.

All the candidates have to carry GATE admit card along with original identification proof like Aadhaar card/ PAN card/ passport/ voter ID card, etc.

Candidates will not be allowed to log in after 30 minutes have passed since the GATE 2021 exam started.

A virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen during the examination for calculations.

Candidates will be provided with a scribble pad for the rough work (one at a time)

Candidates will be allowed to carry a pen, pencil, transparent water bottle and pocket-size hand sanitizer. It is mandatory for candidates to wear face mask during the GATE exam.

Candidates who are COVID-19 positive are strictly prohibited from appearing in the exam.

During assessment at the time of entry, candidates having a temperature above 99.4 degree Fahrenheit will be kept in isolation during the GATE 2021 exam.
