IIT Bombay CSE ePGD Programme: Enrollment open now, classes will commence from June 2025.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has launched e-Postgraduate Diploma (ePGD) in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). The IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme will commence in June 2025, and enrollment process has commenced. IIT Bombay has earlier launched three ePGD programs. Great Learning is the EdTech partner for the newly launched IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme.
The IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme will cover six courses through a mix across advanced programming, computing systems, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Participants will receive an IIT Bombay alumni status upon successful completion. The IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme is designed for software developers, data scientists, IT professionals, and engineers aiming to enhance their expertise.
The eligibility criteria for IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme are as follows:
Candidates must have a degree from a recognized university in one of the following fields:
BE, BTech, BS (4-year), MSc or higher degree in computer science, information technology, artificial intelligence, data science, mathematics and computing, or equivalent.
OR
BE, BTech, BS (4-year), or equivalent in any engineering discipline, along with:
A valid GATE score in computer science or Data Science.
At least two years of relevant work experience in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related areas.
A minor specialization in computer Science, IT, AI, ML, or data science.
The selection process for IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme involve a three-step process:
The total fee for the IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme is Rs 6,00,000 plus GST. It includes an initial registration fee of Rs 60,000, followed by Rs 90,000 plus GST for each of the six courses.
The IIT Bombay ePGD CSE programme includes case studies, practical assignments, and interaction with industry experts. The IIT Bombay ePGD programme seeks to bridge the gap between formal education and evolving technology demands in computing and AI.
IIT Bombay director, Shireesh Kedare emphasized that the ePGD extends access to quality computer science education for working professionals and aspiring technologists.
