IIT Bombay MBA 2026: Online applications open from January 1; personal interviews scheduled for March

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has opened applications for its MBA 2026 programme, offered through the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM). Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website at portal.iitb.ac.in by January 31 up to 5 pm.
The institute will also close the payment window to submit the MBA application fee on February 1 till 5 pm.
Candidates will be called for an interview round on the basis of their CAT 2025 scores from March 5 to 8.
As per the eligibility criteria, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 (55% for SC, ST, PwD).
Moreover, final-year undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the management programme at IIT Bombay, the notification reads.
The MBA programme at IIT Bombay is designed to develop future managers with a comprehensive understanding of core business functions and strategic decision-making.
The curriculum integrates foundational management disciplines such as finance, accounting, operations and human resources with a strong focus on technology-driven management education.

The programme emphasises technology management, offering core subjects such as Technology Policy, R&D Management and Managing Technology Transfer.
Innovative courses like Mission, Vision and Leadership will allow students to work under the mentorship of leading Indian business professionals, helping them build leadership and strategic thinking skills.
Applicants are required to upload scanned copies of documents while filling the online application form:
Passport-size photograph
Signature
Graduation certificate or latest semester marksheet
CAT 2025 scorecard
Class X and Class XII certificates
Caste,EWS,PwD certificates, if applicable
Work experience proof (certificate or payslips)
