NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has launched an interactive website under the IIT-Professor Assisted Learning (IIT-PAL ) initiative to help students all over India to access the lectures by IIT professors to help them prepare better for entrance exams such as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) etc. Students will also be able to interact with the professors.

According to a statement from IIT Delhi, the lectures that are telecasted in the education ministry’s Swayam Prabha channels can be accessed by the students from the IIT Delhi’s IIT-PAL website iitpal.iitd.ac.in.

The IIT-PAL website is an initiative by the ministry of education in India to help students of Classes 11 and 12, especially those who are doing self-study, to better understand science subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology and maths so that they can prepare well for competitive entrance examinations such as the NEET, JEE, IAT, among others. The lectures will be based on the NCERT syllabus.

“This website will be helpful to students especially from regions where they may not have access to specialist teachers in science subjects and coaching opportunities”, said Joby Joseph, professor at IIT Delhi. He is also the national coordinator of the IIT-PAL initiative.

Under the initiative, registered students can clear their doubts by submitting their questions on the website in Hindi or English and also requesting a live session. “A team of professors/experts at IIT-PAL will coordinate to find answers to these questions. Answers to selected questions will be posted on the website, which can be viewed by all registered students,” said the statement.
