IIT Delhi MTech CSE, VLSI Tool Design, JVL most popular; last year's category-wise cut-offs

Check NowNEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) will offer a total of 44 MTech courses based on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 score. As per the last year’s IIT Delhi MTech cut-offs, VLSI Tool Design & JVL and Computer Science Engineering (CSE) were the most sought-after masters programme in engineering.
Last year, the IIT Delhi MTech cut-off for computer science engineering for the general category candidates was 800 marks in GATE and for the OBC category it was 720.
The IIT Delhi GATE cut-off marks for MTech VLSI Tool Design & JVL stood at 950 for the unreserved category, while the closing cut-off score for the remaining categories was 900.
Only candidates who score the minimum cut-off marks in the GATE 2025 exam will be eligible for MTech admission at IITs.
The Indian Institute of Roorkee ( IIT Roorkee ) conducted the GATE 2025 exams from February 1, 2, 15, and 16 in dual shifts. The GATE answer key and response sheet was uploaded on the official website, gate2025.iitr.ac.in, on February 27. Based on the final answer key, the institute will declare the GATE 2025 results on March 19.
The GATE cut-offs for IIT MTech admissions are determined on the basis of the difficulty level of the exam, availability of seats, reservation criteria, previous years’ cut-off trends among other factors.
