IIT Delhi, OPPO collaborate to offer Genius+ scholarship programme for engineering students

Download NowNEW DELHI: Oppo India has signed an agreement with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi to introduce Genius+ programme covering academic expenses for engineering students of the institute. The company has launched the programme to provide scholarship support to outperforming students pursuing BTech courses in the premier institutes, beginning with IIT Delhi.

“Genius+ programme is aimed at connecting with youth at renowned institutes in India and reaching out to the best talent who can further build India's innovation portfolio,” said a statement from OPPO.
OPPO will extend the initiative for masters and PhD students to invest in the future of technological leaders in the industry, the statement added.
The selection of first-year applicants for the Genius+ scholarship programme is based on the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) rank of the students. It will be further renewed for the 2nd-4th year if the selected students have a minimum CPI (CGPA) of 8.0 or above.

OPPO’s representative will guide and track academic progress of selected students through in-person visits to the campus.

Anurag Singh Rathore, Dean – Corporate Relations, IIT Delhi, welcomed the support from OPPO and added: “The Genius+ scholarship is the first step in the direction of forging long term association between the institute and OPPO India.”
