IIT Delhi Placements 2022: Over 1,300 job offers; highest job offers received in IIT-D history

Download NowNEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D) has recorded over 1,300 job offers with more than 1,150 students uniquely placed in the IIT Delhi campus placement season, phase 1, as of December 15. The placements will continue till the end of May 2023.

The institute witnesses over a 10% increase int he number of unique selections along with the the total number of offers received this year. IIT-D also saw over 30 international offers from 15 international companies offering job profiles in spanning Hong Kong, Japan, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan United Kingdom, and the United States.

In addition to the unique job selection data, IIT Delhi also saw the highest number of pre-placement offers (PPOs) received in its history. The total offers of 1,300 includes more than 260 PPOs, of which 6 were international offers. From students that have received offers in the IIT Delhi placement season 2022, 10 students have have opted for the deferred placement facility. This facility is available to those students that want to set up a startup post their graduation. The students choosing the deferred placement option can avail of placement services once within 2 years after availing this option.
IIT Delhi received registrations from more than 500 organisations across various sectors offering over 1,000 job profiles to hire IIT-D students. Many students would be eligible to reappear for placements as per campus rules. The entire interview process was conducted in a single day to facilitate time to recruiters and students to make better decisions.
Speaking about the IIT-D placement season so far, IIT Delhi, Head, office of career esrvices, Anishya Obhrai Madan, said: “We wish to thank and acknowledge all participating recruiting organizations for reposing their faith in our students. We welcomed recruiters hiring across domains. Companies from the Core Sector and Analytics domains have recruited in larger numbers this year. We look forward to this positive hiring trend continuing for the rest of the season”.
