IIT Delhi set to host open house for BTech design course on October 26

Download NowThe Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will host an online open house for newly launched BTech in design programme on October 26 from 6 pm onwards. IIT Delhi’s four-year BTech in design offers an intake of 20 students.

Candidates will be offered admission to IIT Delhi’s BTech design programme based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) scores.
The new design programme is launched specially for empathetic and creative minds intending to understand socio-technical systems around us and designing interventions for problems in these systems.
“Department of Design, IIT Delhi, to organise an online OpenHouse on 26th October 2025 for students aspiring to join to its newly launched BTech in Design program in 2026,” IIT Delhi posted on its official X account.

Candidates opting for BTech in the design course will learn about prevalent technologies, design thinking processes, research methods for analysing socio-technical systems, communication and presentation skills, and teamwork.
Students in BTech design are required to complete a total of 155 credits in 4 years as per the curriculum structure offered by IIT Delhi. To apply for the open house, candidates will have to fill in the Google form link and submit to appear for the open house session.
