IIT Guwahati Placements 2022: 168 offers on day one; Rs 2.4 crore highest International offer
Out of 1,269 students that registered for IIT Guwahati placements, 168 students have received offers of which highest package is Rs 2.4 crore.

NEW DELHI: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati commenced campus placements today December 1, 2022. The institute received a total of 168 offers by 46 companies day one’s sessions 1.1 and 1.2. The phase 1 of placements will continue till December 15, 2022.
A total of 1,269 students registered for the IIT Guwahati placements across domains including software development engineer, data science, quant, core engineer, UX designer, VLSI, vehicle engineering, analyst, product designer job profiles, among others.

The institute received two international placement offers at the end of session 1.2. A total number of 264 companies registered for the phase-1 of IIT Guwahati placements 2022. A sum total of 78 start-ups have registered for recruitment in the ongoing academic year 2022-23 along with five Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
The major recruiters of this year’s first two sessions include Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Google, Uber, Qualcomm, C-DOT, Enphase Energy, Oracle, Nutanix, Thoughtspot MTS-2, Squarepoint SDE/Quant, American Express, JP Morgan Chase, Bajaj, Rippling, Tibra, Cohesity, and Sprinklr Platform + Product, among others.
In addition to these offers, IIT Guwahati already received 218 pre-placement offers (PPOs) last month.

Speaking about the placement process being conducted at the Institute, IIT Guwahati, head, center for career development, Abhishek Kumar, said: "Company officials as well as students both are excited to meet face to face after 2 years of gap due to the pandemic. This has given upper hand to both the employer as well as potential employee to interact one to one, giving more space for proper understanding on both sides of the table.”
Expressing his happiness on a strong start to the placement season, IIT Guwahati, director, TG Sitharam, said: “We are really excited to physically host companies at IIT Guwahati campus after two years. We have recorded progressive outcomes in the Session 1.1 and 1.2 of the Placement Drive. I am sure the final outcomes will touch new heights for the Institute.”
