NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) will close the registration window of Joint Admission test for Madras (IIT JAM 2024) for admission to postgraduate programmes in the 21 IITs. Candidates can apply for the entrance examination on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in.

Candidates clearing the IIT JAM 2024 exam will be eligible for admission to around 3,000 seats of masters programmes in IITs subject to satisfying the eligibility requirements and minimum educational qualifications.
The IIT Madras has advised applicants to contact the concerned admitting institute for further details.
The JAM 2023 is a computer-based test in seven test papers. The papers will have multiple choice questions (MCQ), multiple select questions (MSQ) and numerical answer type (NAT) questions. Candidates can appear in one or two test papers. For two test papers, the second paper must be carefully selected to avoid session clash, IIT Madras said.
The admit card for JAM 2024 will be uploaded on the official website, jam.iitm.ac.in, on January 8, 2024. The exam will be held on February 11, 2024, while the result will be out on March 22, 2024.
