IIT JAM 2024 registration window closes tomorrow; check exam pattern, marking scheme

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will close the registration window for the Joint Admission Test (JAM) tomorrow, October 13. Interested candidates can register for IIT JAM 2024 through the official website, joaps.iitm.ac.in.

The IIT JAM 2024 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 11, 2024. The exam will be held in two shifts from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates will be able to download their IIT JAM 2024 admit cards from January 8, 2024, onwards.

Candidates belonging to general or unreserved category candidates have to pay Rs 1,800 as IIT JAM application fee 2024. While SC, ST, PwD and female candidates will pay Rs 900 as application fee.
IIT JAM 2024: How to apply
Candidates can follow the easy steps given below to apply for IIT JAM 2024 exam.
- Visit the official website, jam.iitg.ac.in
- On the homepage, click on the ‘Register’ button
- Fill in your details and register to proceed
- Login and fill out the form
- Upload documents and pay the application fee
- Download and take a printout of the same for further references
IIT JAM 2024 exam pattern
IIT JAM exam will be conducted online in CBT mode. The exam compris of 3 sections consisting a total of 60 questions worth 100 marks. The duration of the exam is 3 hours. There will be no negative marking in Section B and Section C.

JAM 2024 will be conducted in seven test papers at the undergraduate level. The JAM exam will be held in around 100 cities in India. Candidates qualifying in JAM 2024 are eligible to apply for admission to around 3000 seats in IITs for year 2024-25.
