IIT Kanpur to hold its annual entrepreneurial festival- 'E-Summit' from January 13-15, 2023. Theme for this year is Renaissance and Rise.

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) will be holding its annual entrepreneurial festival- 'E-Summit' from January 13 to 15, 2023. The event will be hosted by the student-run entrepreneurship cell from IIT Kanpur to provide platform to stimulate discussions on ideas turning issues to opportunities. Interested working professionals, including investors, startup founders, government officials, industrialists can register to attend the event at ecell.iitk.org.
The theme for the event this year is - Renaissance and Rise. The summit will be hosting the finale of the UpStart business model competition along with Startup expo with participation from startups, investors, speakers, organizations, from all over India. The event will be innovators competing with each other to earn equity-less-funding and incubation opportunities and also winning rewards along the way.

The summit will also have competitions such as ‘Be an Angel’, ‘Decrypt’, ‘Sell your Sole’, ‘Pitchers’, ‘Stock the Stock’, to test decisiveness, analytical thinking, business acumen, and communications skills of the participants. The participating parties have a chance to receive mentoring from industry experts, cash prizes and rewards worth Rs 1 lakh and E-Summit goodies worth Rs 25 lakh.
The talk sessions at the E-Summit 2022 aim to educate and inspire young budding entrepreneurs, to start their own startups. The event will also have workshops such as- How to onboard your first 100 customers, Mint your first NFT, Network makes your Net-worth, Ad-Venture, and hands-on training sessions by a line-up of mentors. The summit will offer a platform for the participants to hone creative, innovative, and feasible ideas and solutions relating to day-to-day problems.
The chief guest for the inaugural ceremony will be Cyient, chairman and board member, BVR Mohan Reddy, while BharatPe, co-founder and managing director, Ashneer Grover will be the chief guest for the closing ceremony. Other keynote speakers that will be attending the summit include Petroleum and Natural Gas, former secretary, Saurabh Chandra; Zetwerk, independent director, Sanjiv Rangrass, NPCI, India Blockchain, Sudeep Choudhari; National Skill Development Corporation, CEO, Ved Mani Tiwari and Finserv, vertical head, meta India, media, travel, Shweta Bajpai among others.
