IIT Kanpur Placements 2022: 808 offers on day 3; Rs 1.9 crore highest domestic salary so far

IIT Placements 2022: 74 students bagged international offers including 33 offers above Rs 1 crore. Top recruiters were BCG, Bain & Company, Capital One, etc.
NEW DELHI : The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur recorded 808 offers on day three of the first phase of placements 2022. The highest domestic salary achieved by students so far is Rs 1.9 crore whereas 74 students received international offers with 33 being above Rs 1 crore.
IIT Kanpur began placements for this year on December 1, 2022. At the end of Day 1, a total of 519 offers were made. This number includes 207 pre-placement offers (PPOs) offered till date. Day 1 saw a total of 488 students securing jobs through the acceptance of PPOs and placement offers.

Till day 1, a total of 72 international offers were received by IIT Kanpur this season, as compared to 47 international offers received during the last year. 145 companies with more than 100 companies offering core, engineering and software domains participated in the placements on the first day.
Some of the top recruiters which participated in the placement drive this year include Capital One, SAP Labs, Rakuten Mobile, Enphase, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, Square Point Capital, etc.

Professor Abhay Karandikar, director, IIT Kanpur said, “We’re delighted with the number of offers that have come our way at the start of the placement season 2022-23. The overall uptick in packages offered and new recruiters joining in, signifies the growing trust the recruiters have on IIT Kanpur. We’re confident of yet another successful season as we progress through the days.”
Last year, the highest packages at the end of phase I of placement season 2021-22, were US dollars 287,550 for international and Rs 1.2 crore for domestic.
