IIT Kanpur set to host 65th Foundation Day on November 2; awards for 18 alumni members

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is set to host its 65th Foundation Day on November 2. The event will be attended by the defence minister Rajnath Singh, as chief guest. Rajnath Singh’s visit to IIT Kanpur will be a source of inspiration for the students and the broader academic community, the IIT Kanpur statement said.

On the 65th Foundation Day, the institute will honour 18 alumni with awards. The list of awards for alumni members includes – the Alumnus Awards, recognizing alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their respective fields; the Distinguished Services Awards, celebrating those who have significantly contributed to the institute’s growth and mission; the Young Alumnus Awards, acknowledging alumni for their remarkable achievements in the early stages of their career, the IIT Kanpur statement added.

IIT Kanpur will also extend three institute Fellows Awards to honour the faculty members who contributed to the overall growth of the institute. These awards reflect the excellence and values fostered by IIT Kanpur.

IIT Kanpur: 65th Foundation Day

K Radhakrishnan the chairperson of the Board of Governors (BoG) at IIT Kanpur, will attend the event and share his insights with the students, IIT Kanpur note adds.
