IIT Madras Demo Day: Students and parents can explore courses, campus life and innovation facilities before JoSAA counselling; entry on a first-come, first-served basis

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has announced its annual Demo Day 2026, an on-campus outreach programme aimed at helping JEE Advanced qualifiers make informed decisions ahead of the admission and counselling process.
Registration for Demo Day 2026 is currently open and students can apply at askiitm.com. Seats will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis, and interested candidates can register through the official portal.
Scheduled to be held on June 6 and 7, the event will provide students and their parents with an opportunity to interact directly with faculty members, current students, alumni and senior institute officials.

As per IIT Madras, the initiative is designed to give prospective candidates a clearer understanding of academic courses, campus culture, student life and career opportunities available at the institute.
The event comes at a crucial time for engineering aspirants, as many students are preparing for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process following the conclusion of JEE Advanced 2026.
IIT Madras in a post on X said that as part of the two-day event, attendees will be able to visit academic departments and learn about the courses offered by the institute.
Participants will also get an opportunity to explore innovation initiatives and student-led activities that form an integral part of campus life.

According to the institute, more than 5,000 students and parents have participated in Demo Day events since 2022. The experience has helped many aspirants understand programme choices and counselling decisions with greater clarity.
