IIT Madras Pravartak Foundation launches Database Engineering Hackathon; winner prize Rs 3 lakhs

NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), invites students to participate in the Pravartak Technologies Foundation’s Database Engineering Hackathon from today, November 13. Interested students can apply on hackerearth.com/challenges/hackathon/iitm-pravartak before the deadline, November 24, 2024.

The top three winners will be awarded prizes of Rs 3 lakhs, Rs 2 lakhs, and Rs 1 lakh for first, second, and third places respectively. The performing teams will have the chance to explore incubation support, receive certifications, and collaborate with IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation.

This initiative of the technology innovation hub of IIT Madras aims to engage top developers and engineers to solve challenges in database technology, the IITM statement said.

The initiative is a platform for India’s students to pioneer advanced data solutions, foster problem-solving, and optimize their performances.

IITM Pravartak Database Engineering Hackathon

The hackathon is an opportunity for students to showcase innovations that may be incorporated into IIT-M Pravartak’s research efforts. Students will gain exposure to database challenges, refine their technical skills, and expand their professional pathways within the data engineering domain.

IITM Pravartak Hackathon will also provide certifications for all students along with awards for all high achievers to recognize their efforts.
