IIT Madras Zanzibar Admission 2023: Selection test date; exam pattern

IIT Madras Zanzibar Selection Test (IITMZST) for BS programmes will be held on September 3, while for MTech programmes, the selection test will be on August 20.
NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Zanzibar campus admission application last date is today, August 5. IIT Madras is starting its first offshore campus in Zanzibar, Tanzania to admit students to BSc programme in data science and artificial intelligence (AI) and a two-year MTech programme in data science and AI. Candidates will have to appear for a selection test and an interview to secure a seat in IIT Madras Zanzibar campus.
The IIT Madras Zanzibar Screening Test (IITMZST) will be a computer-based test (CBT) held separately for BS and MTech programmes. While the IIT Madras Zanzibar selection test for BS programmes is set to be held on September 3, for MTech programmes, it is on August 20.

The IIT Zanzibar screening test will examine the candidate’s aptitude to pursue the courses offered by IIT Madras Zanzibar. The question paper will be in English. The IITMZST 2023 will be held for two hours duration and will consist of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs), multiple select questions (MSQs) and numerical answer type questions (NAT) for 40 marks, administered through computer.

There will be no negative marking in the screening test. In the event that a question needs to be dropped, an IIT Madras Zanzibar statement said, full marks for that question will be awarded to all candidates.
