IIT Patna Placement Drive 2024: 147 students get job offers in phase 1
Thirty-Two students received job offers with a salary package exceeding Rs 30 lakhs in the IIT Patna Placement Drive 2024 phase 1.

NEW DELHI: A total of 147 students got job offers, including pre-placement offers, during the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Patna) phase 1 placements drive 2024 for the class of 2024. IIT Patna said more than 65 companies are participating in the phase 1 of the IIT Patna placement drive 2024.
It added that despite challenging market conditions, companies are offering roles such as software engineer, digital consultant, business consultant, IT security engineer, product engineer, research engineer, electronics engineer and analyst.
Highest package
The average salary package offer stands at Rs 22.23 lakh, with 32 offers exceeding Rs 30 lakhs and 66 offers of more than Rs 20 lakh. “Around 75% of placements have been secured in the BTech, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch, boasting an impressive average CTC of ₹27.60 lakhs,” the IIT Patna added.
The companies which are participating in the placement drive included Atlassian, Google, Media.Net, Accenture Japan, Suntory Holdings, Niterra, and Money Forward and Sprinklr. The highest number of jobs were offered by ZS Associates (13), followed by Tiger Analytics (12) and Brane Enterprises (10).
Two public sector undertakings (PSUs), CDOT and BPCL, offered three and nine jobs, respectively. IIT Patna said around 30 more companies will participate in the next phases of the placement drive.

10 new companies
Kripa Shankar Singh, Training and Placement Officer, IIT Patna said, "Students from various streams like BTech, MTech, M.Sc are participating in this ongoing placement season. The institute has seen corporates from various sectors including IT and software, consulting and analytics, manufacturing, automobile, banking and finance, edtech, ecommerce and startups participating in the current recruitment process. Also, in the first phase of placement, about 10 companies took part in the recruitment process of IIT Patna for the first time".

In the next phase of the first phase of IIT Patna, about 20 more companies have been scheduled for recruitment and the recruitment process of the second phase will start from the middle of January. TPC, IIT Patna hopes that the second phase of recruitment will be more encouraging.
