IMT Ghaziabad holds convocation after two years for PDGM batches; over 1,000 students receive degrees
IMT Ghaziabad also awarded 18 gold medals and 18 silver medals to selected students from batches 2020, 2021 and 2022.

NEW DELHI: Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Ghaziabad held a two-day convocation ceremony on October 15 and 16 at the Institute's campus after two years. More than 1,000 students were awarded with degrees while 36 students received medals at the ceremony.
Degrees were awarded to students from the post graduate diploma in management (PDGM) batches from 2018-2020; 2019- 2021; and 2020- 2022, post graduate diploma in management part-time (PGDMPT) batches from 2016–2019 ; 2017–2020; 2018–2021; and 2019-2022 and post graduate diploma in management executive (PGDMEx) batches from 2018 - 2020, 2019 – 2021, and 2020 – 2022. The event also saw 18 gold medals and 18 silver medals presented to students from batches 2020, 2021 and 2022.
First established in 2018 as a tribute to to IMT’s promising student Aditya, The Aditya Baijal excellence Awards for 2020 was awarded to Simran Kohli from PGDM Marketing 2018-20 batch for exemplary all-round performance. The Alumnus Award was given to executive director and fund manager at YourNest Venture Capital, Girish Shivani. Lastly, T he Young Alumnus Awards were presented to d irector, strategy growth and partnerships at Microsoft, Divya Khemani, the c o-founder of Acranolife Genomics, Agragesh Ramani and to the c o-founder of Pharmeasy, Dharmil Sheth.

The convocation was attended by business tycoons and dignitaries from the social and healthcare industry. The chief guest of day 1 was chairman and managing director, Medanta- the medicity, Naresh Trehan. On day 2 of the IMT convocation, chairman and managing director, Kirloskar systems private limited, Vikram S Kirloskar was the chief guest. The former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and the chief mentor of IMT Ghaziabad, Shri Kamal Nath addressed the students virtually.
Director of IMT Ghaziabad, Vishal Talwar, addressed the students, alumni, and members of the IMT at the convocation programme and said “Every household will have a story to tell, that gathered success and share the indomitable nature of human spirit today. IMT has emerged from all the challenges posed by the pandemic and I am proud to mention that we have been reaccredited by the AASCB gold standard. Some of the most robust global ranking agencies have rated us the best. IMT Ghaziabad will continue to transform."
