NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy has extended the registration deadline for Agniveer Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), Matric Recruit (MR) posts. Eligible unmarried male and female candidates can now fill out the Indian Navy Agniveer application form by June 5 through the official website, joinindiannavy.gov.in.

Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 550 to register for the Indian Navy Agniveer exam. As per the official notice, candidates will have a three-day correction window after the application period closes to correct details submitted during the application process.

The selection process for the Agniveer MR and SSR posts will comprise two stages: Stage 1 is shortlisting through the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET), while Stage 2 includes the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), written examination, and recruitment medical examination.

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for Indian Navy Agniveer recruitment 2024 given below.

Age Limit: Candidates must have been born between November 1, 2003, and April 30, 2007, inclusive of both dates.

Education qualification:

Candidates should have passed Class 10 with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from boards of school education to be eligible for the MR post. For the SSR post, candidates should have passed Class 12 with mathematics and physics, also with a minimum of 50% in aggregate. Or

Candidates should have completed a three-year diploma course in engineering (mechanical, electrical, automobiles, computer science, instrumentation technology, or information technology) from a central, state, or union territory (UT) recognized polytechnic institute with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Or

Candidates must have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in a two-year vocational course, including a non-vocational subject like physics and mathematics, from education boards recognized by the central, state, and union territory (UT).

Candidates who have appeared in the Class 12 board exam and are awaiting the declaration of results are also eligible to apply, provided they meet all other eligibility criteria.
