Jagran Lakecity University gets new Vice-Chancellor
Sandeep Shastri who was earlier with Jain University succeeds Anoop Swarup who was the Jagaran Lakecity University’s founding VC.
NEW DELHI: Jagran Lakecity University has announced the appointment of Sandeep Shastri, as its new Vice-Chancellor. Shastri will succeed Anoop Swarup, who served as Jagran Lakecity University’s founding VC for eight years.
As per a statement issued by the university, Shastri is an author, researcher, political strategist, international consultant, and has to his credit 13 books, more than 51 chapters in edited books and over 94 articles in research journals.
He has also played a key role in drafting the “Karnataka Youth Policy” by serving as the chairman of the drafting committee of the policy.
Speaking on the occasion Sandeep Shastri said: “Education provides us with an opportunity to move beyond our own boundaries and, at times, our self-imposed limitations. As an educator, I believe it’s my responsibility to open doors for others and encourage people to appreciate the process of learning. I’m so excited to join the JLU family. The pristine JLU campus reflects my plans to take this university to the next level. Being the vice-chancellor of JLU is an honour and privilege for me as the value system of this university is aligned with my own and the work is done by this university in such a short duration is exemplary.”
