IIT JAM 2026 registration closes tomorrow; MS, MSc entrance exam on February 15

IIT JAM: Cut Off | Cut off for Top IITs
According to the JAM 2026 schedule, IIT Bombay will conduct the JAM 2026 exam on February 15 in two sessions: forenoon and afternoon. The exam will be held for 7 papers, including Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Biotechnology (BT), Geology(GG), Mathematics (MA), and Mathematical Statistics.
The JAM 2026 exam is conducted for MSc and MS admissions. A total of 3,000 seats are offered for 89 postgraduate courses across 22 IITs.
IIT Kanpur has introduced 3 new courses, including an integrated PhD in Sustainable Energy Engineering (minimum 6 years), MSc in Economics, and MSc‐PhD dual degree in chemistry.
IIT JAM 2026 application fee is Rs 1,000 for female, Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category candidates opting for one test paper, and Rs 1,350 for two papers. For all other candidates, the fee is Rs 2,000 for one paper and Rs 2,700 for two papers.

JAM 2026: Who can apply?
Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or are currently studying in the final year of an undergraduate programme are eligible to apply for JAM 2026 exam. Additionally, foreign nationals with an Indian degree are also eligible to apply, subject
to the policy of the admitting institute. Also, proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the required eligibility, as specified by the admitting institute, should be submitted within the timeline provided by the respective institute.
Candidates who will be able to register successfully will have to JAM 2026 admit card download from January 5 onwards once they are accessible on the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in, using their registration login details.
