Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has opened applications for its Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) programme, offering free coaching with hostel facilities for the civil services examination (CSE) 2027. The initiative is designed to support candidates from minorities, scheduled castes (SCs), scheduled tribes (STs), and women who aspire to join the civil services.
As per the notification, the application process will begin on April 1, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their forms on the official portal of the university at admission.jmi.ac.in along with a fee of Rs 1325/- + applicable bank charges. The window will close on May 26, 2026. The entrance test will be held in several cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru.
The RCA programme covers General Studies, CSAT, optional subjects, test series, and interview preparation. Students will also have access to facilities like a 24x7 air-conditioned library and structured preparation support extending into 2027.

Eligibility, election process, and facilities
To be eligible, candidates must have completed their graduation and should be planning to appear for the Civil Services Examination 2027. Those currently enrolled in regular courses or employed elsewhere are not eligible to apply.
The selection process includes a written examination followed by an interview. The written test will have two sections; an objective-type general studies paper and an essay paper.

The programme has 100 seats, with 5% reserved for candidates with disabilities. While the coaching itself is free, selected candidates will need to pay a refundable security deposit of ₹7,000 along with hostel and mess charges.
