NEW DELHI: Engineering is the most popular career choice of students in India. This year over 9 lakh students registered for the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE Main 2023). The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced it will give students two attempts to appear for the JEE Mains exam 2023.

JEE Main 2023 session 1 results were declared recently for BE, BTech papers on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2023 results for paper 2 BArch, BPlanning is also expected to be declared soon. However, the NTA is yet to announce the JEE Mains result date 2023 for paper 2.
Meanwhile, the JEE Main 2023 session 2 registration link has been made available at nta.ac.in. Candidates will be able to submit JEE Main application form before March 12.
According to the schedule announced earlier, the JEE Advanced 2023 registration will begin from April 30 at 10 AM. The top 2,50,000 qualifiers based on the JEE Main 2023 result will be eligible to appear in the JEE Advanced 2023 exam to get admission in Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), government-funded technical institutes and Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs).

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conducted six rounds of JoSAA counselling last year. The previous year’s closing ranks for gender-neutral open seats for Computer Science and Engineering in IITs are given below. IIT Bombay’s closing rank in open seats was 61, while the lowest closing rank, 5,172, was offered admission at IIT Bhilal.
