IIT JEE Advanced 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced exam today in two shifts. Paper 1 will be held from 9 am to noon, and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. The items allowed to be carried to the JEE Advanced 2026 exam centre include a transparent water bottle, ID proof, JEE Adv admit card, and own stationery items such as a pen, pencil, or eraser. Before entering the JEE Advanced 2026 exam hall, all candidates will be subjected to extensive and compulsory frisking (physical and using highly sensitive metal detectors). Candidates are required to adhere to the instructions provided by the test centre staff strictly.
Candidates appearing for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam are not allowed to carry electronic devices, wear ornaments, carry any metallic items, any printed or hand-written material, wallets, handbags, smart watches, brooches, belts, caps, etc.

The dress code guidelines for JEE Advanced 2026 are listed below.
A scribble pad will be placed on each candidate’s desk at the start of every paper for rough work. No extra scribble pads will be issued. Candidates must write their name and JEE (Advanced) 2026 Roll Number in the designated space and sign the scribble pad.
Candidates are also required to mark their attendance for each paper by signing against their name in the space provided on the roll list.
After completing the JEE Advanced 2026 paper, candidates must hand over their scribble pad to the invigilator. They will then be allowed to leave the examination hall in an orderly manner, one candidate at a time. Candidates are advised to remain seated and wait for instructions from the invigilator before getting up.
