New Delhi, April 10 : The JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 for April 10 has commenced. The five day long JEE Main 2019 April session exam started on April 7 with Paper 2 while Paper 1 on April 8, 9, 10 and 12. NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2019 exam in complete online mode at 370 test centres in India and abroad. The forenoon shift is conducted from 09:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the afternoon shift from 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM.
Students who are appearing in JEE Main 2019 exam is by far finding Chemistry to be the easiest part while Mathematics and Chemistry is moderately tough. Although, Chemistry part in the April 9 forenoon shift came as a surprise with most students finding it tough. Students who have appeared in the January session of JEE Main 2019 and are also appearing in April session found the difficulty level similar between the two.

As per the reaction of students who have appeared for the JEE Main 2019 on April 8 and 9, difficulty level of the exam was moderate to easy. If we look in to subject specific questions, Chemistry questions were the easiest while questions from Mathematics and Physics were relatively tough.The questions were invariably distributed from almost all chapters of class 11 and 12. The difficulty level of questions as per students is:
Physics – Physics part was relatively tougher as compared to Mathematics and Chemistry. Overall, it was of moderate level with more questions from Class 11.
Chemistry – Chemistry was the easiest part. Students found most questions were formulated directly from NCERT and were fact based. No tricks involved as such in any question. One question on assertion reasoning was asked.
Mathematics – Questions in Maths were easy to moderate in difficulty. Most students found questions to be easy. Some topics like mathematical induction was left untouched.
JEE Main is the gateway to secure admission in UG engineering courses like IITs, NITs and GFTIs. Students who qualify and score good percentile in JEE Main becomes eligible for admission in NITs and GFTIs. Students who aspire for admission in IITs need to further qualify JEE Advanced.
