JEE Main 2026 Jan 28 BE and BTech exam morning shift will be held from 9 am to noon, and afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm. JEE Main 2026 Jan 29 BArch and BPlanning will be held from 9 am to noon, and for both BArch and BPlanning from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
The testing agency had conducted JEE Main 2026 session 1 from January 21 to 24 across several exam centres in the country. So far, more than 10 lakh candidates appeared for the entrance test, marking an overall attendance at 96.26%.
Candidates who are planning to appear for JEE Main 2026 on January 28 and 29 can check the memory-based questions and paper analysis shared by students and analysis by subject experts to understand the types of questions and difficulty level of the exam.
NTA has already issued the JEE Main 2026 session 1 admit card on the official website. Candidates will require their application number and password to download the JEE Main hall tickets.
Now, candidates seeking admission to the National Institute of Technology (NITs) through JEE Mains 2026 will have an option to get entry into one NIT and exit from another. The multiple entry-exit option plan has been proposed by the NITs following a recommendation from the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Candidates will be able to fill out the JEE Main 2026 session 2 application form through the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in. According to the exam schedule, the JEE Main 2026 session 2 exam for BTech, BArch, and BPlanning programmes is scheduled to be held between April 2 and 9, 2026.
To complete JEE Main registration, general category candidates will have to pay Rs 1,000, while female candidates pay Rs 800.
For Gen-EWS candidates, the fee is Rs 900 for males and Rs 800 for females. Candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and PwD categories need to pay Rs 500 to apply for the engineering entrance examination.
